Who Am I?
I’m Jose Olmedo, a Graphic Design student at SDSU who’s into making things that actually feel good to use—not just look good. I like clean layouts, strong typography, and designs that make sense the first time you see them.
I’m still growing as a designer, but I’m big on learning by doing, refining, and not settling for the first idea.
What Do I
When I’m not designing or in class, I work hands-on rebuilding alternators and starters at my family’s business. That experience has shaped how I think—problem-solving, precision, and attention to detail all carry over into my design work.
Outside of that, I enjoy gaming and spending time with friends, which also inspires a lot of my interest in UI/UX and interactive design.
Why Graphic Design?
I’ve always been drawn to visuals, but it really clicked for me when I started going to Comic Con every year. Seeing how design shapes everything—from branding to environments—made me realize how powerful it is.
Since then, I’ve been focused on developing my skills and finding ways to create designs that are both meaningful and impactful.
